Probably best to utilise independent transport. This is central Brittany, the beauty of the countryside and the relatively empty roads reflects the fact that public transport is extremely limited. I can offer a pick up service from Le Faouet which is serviced by a bus from the train station of Quimperle.
there are airports in Lorient (50 km), Quimper (75 km), Brest (100 km), Rennes (160 km) and Nantes (200 km).
The next stations are in Carhaix-Plouguer (30 km), Quimperlé (30 km) and Lorient (50 km). in Lorient you also find several car rentals.
Situated in the commune of Langonnet in a sleepy little hamlet called “Lonjou”, (also spelled “Longeau” or “Longeou”). Its about 3 kms from the actual village of Langonnet to the Farm. If approaching from the village look for the Place Morvan, you can’t really miss it, its ‘main’ road on which the Marie and the Post office are located. Take the D 128 direction “Abbaye de Langonnet/Priziac” out of the village. Follow the D 128 past farms, the road bends slightly to the right up a small hill past a small recycling depositary on your left. Over the brow of the hill the road begins to descend slightly, take the second turn on the left signed “Lonjou” then take the next available left again signed “Longeau”. At the end of this small road is the hamlet, “au septieme” is the last house on the left, a white house with blue shutters and probably the odd cat or two stretched out on the windowsill.
I very much look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful little oasis in central Brittany, far indeed from the Maddening Crowds.
